Add your group

If your group plays mahjong in person and has a page of its own, send us the link and we'll add it.

Email admin@mahjongtilework.com with your group's name, town and the page where you post your days. We read that page before anything goes on this list, the same as for every group here, and listing is free. If your group is already here and something has changed, or you'd rather not be listed, tell us and we'll fix it.

  • We list libraries, recreation departments, senior and community centers, JCCs and clubs.
  • We don't list private teachers, shops or groups that meet only online.
  • A group needs a page of its own with its days on it, not only a social media account.

Questions about finding a game

How do I find a mahjong group near me?

Start with your public library's events calendar, then your town's recreation department, senior center or JCC. Many run a weekly game or a beginner class. The groups on this page are ones we have checked, state by state.

Do I need to know how to play before I go?

Not always. Groups marked New players welcome say on their own page that beginners can come, and groups marked Lessons run classes. Others expect you to know the basics, so read the group's page first.

How we keep this list

Every listing links to the group's own page, and every detail shown here was read there, not copied from a directory. We read the whole list again about every three months and take down groups that have stopped meeting. Mahjong Tilework isn't affiliated with any group listed here.
